Gemma Betton - Owner and Artist at G.Ink.
With art and creativity in my veins it’s safe to say I have been an artist since birth. Although in Further Education I studied Art and Design, specialising in fine art, life took me down a different career path of teaching in the Beauty and Aesthetics sector for around 15 years (including media and special effects makeup, nail artistry, skin health and laser and light)....I know it couldn’t be further from tattooing right?!
I managed to get my fix by creating art in the form of body painting, drawing, sketching, painting and later digital art but carrying out semi permanent makeup clearly didn’t cut it anymore and I finally chose to combine all of skills and passion and treat skin in a different way. With Ink!
I have found my purpose in life. To tattoo.
I don’t specialise in area (not yet anyway) and have tattooed pretty much every style and every body part to date. I predominantly do black and grey but am pushing my colour skills every day. I love to tattoo both illustrative and realistic styles and am open minded to any design suggestions. I have a passion for designing bespoke pieces, no matter how big or small. I want every person to feel 100 percent comfortable at G Ink and client satisfaction is huge priority for me.
